Everything here is mediocre. Good compared to grocery store or budget-friendly bread and pastries, but NOT good compared to other bakeries of similar price. Croissants could be from Aramark or Costco and you wouldn’t know the difference. Bread is under proofed which suggests this isn’t really a baker’s bakery. Unfortunately there just aren’t that many good bakeries in Palo Alto and I’ve had to settle for this when I’m too lazy to bake fresh bread. Also echoing comments about how they don’t make online orders in time. Showed up 40 minutes after my pickup time and the woman at the front said “We’re so sorry. We weren’t notified about the order but we’ll make it now.” In other words, they received the order in their system, I paid for the order, the staff just didn’t bother to check their order system and haven’t turned on notifications

No inside seating, it is a pity. Otherwise are good.

The kouignamann is delicious, and all the pastries are really good. My kids especially love the scones. But the coffee has been disappointing every time I try it. It tastes too weak and has almost no flavor. The coffee at the Los Altos location is always much better. We often buy pastries and then go to Blue Bottle Coffee nearby just to get coffee, which is inconvenient. If the coffee were better, I would probably come much more often.

This is a take away place. We had the kouign amann and chocolate croissant. Excellent. Chocolate croissant is not sugary with dark chocolate. Could have a bit more chocolate but high quality chocolate 🍫🍫🍫. baguette tends to sell out early here.

Cute bakery on the heart of Town & Country Village with speedy service and tasty treats. My partner and I grabbed a quick breakfast here on the weekend and were all around quite impressed. We split their zucchini and ricotta tart for a savory bite and the chocolate croissant as a baseline comparison vs. other bakeries we’ve tried. Both were super buttery and flakey, and I was quite impressed by the lamination on the croissant. My favorite bite had to be the tart, though — the slightly sweet fresh zucchini went wonderfully with the buttery pastry and rich, creamy ricotta. The zucchini was tender but still had a bit of snap to it, which made for a fun combo of textures. There’s not really any space to sit inside, but you can take your pastries out to one of the tables outside. It does get pretty crowded over the weekend, so you might have to get pretty lucky with your timing to snag a table.
